The keystone to growth and expanded consciousness events, is a change in perspective or perception. "Many would call the desire for predictability as a comfort zone. Staying within that zone eliminates surprises and minimizes fear, but unfortunately also limits our experience in life. To experience expanded levels of consciousness, we must be
willing to go outside of our comfort zone. Real growth or accelerated growth comes from pushing ourselves beyond our known limitations. Growth can be likened to a plant that seeks to reach the light of the sky, it can only produce more growth above soil consciousness) when it has pushed its roots deeper into the ground of knowledge and self-awareness. This analogy is fitting because the roots of a plant cannot see where it is pushing. It does not know when it may come upon an obstacle or an area of fertile ground. It is very easy during life to get caught up in the typical aspirations involving success and material goods. During our quest of this objective we rarely if at all take the time to reflect on what is truly important. Sometimes it takes a fall into the abyss to reflect on our life.
